Here, you will find videos going over some of the various demonstrations our department creates!

Pull this off.

Its David right?
0:04
Its Carl.
0:05
Carl.
0:16
Okay I sent out an email that was mistaken, Carl is the one that got you each an extra five points on the exam.
[Cheers]

Okay now what I'm going to do is I'm going to turn off the gas I'm going to close this off.
0:49
Oh that's hot.
0:56
Now would you put on some gloves there Carl.
1:09
Okay now if things have worked properly the boiling water has pushed steam out the top and with that steam the air that was originally in that can was removed from the can now that means that that can right now is filled with steam which is water in its its gas form now if we put this down on the ice, would you help me with that Carl? Put right down into that bed.
1:43
Okay by cooling that can we're going to cool the the water vapor in there and it will condense back into a little bit of water but in doing so it will leave a vacuum behind and that vacuum will allow the atmospheric pressure to crush it.
2:02
What we need to do now would you help me with this
2:06
Yeah we're just going to put ice on this I could use that one and you could use that.
2:49
Oh it's going to happen
[Cheers and Applause]

Physics works and that's what makes it different than chemistry. This is a great place to stop, go somewhere else people.
