Web Accessibility - Legacy Page

  • Charge a sphere on an insulated stand with a charged rod.
  • To charge a rod, pull it through the cloth once with minimal pressure.
  • Slide the rod back and forth over the sphere to transfer more charge.
  • Move the charged sphere close to the other sphere to induce a charge imbalance.
  • Touch the opposite side of the second sphere to remove accumulated charge.
  • Move the charged sphere away. The electroscope will show a charge on the second sphere.
