Liquid Metal (Gallium nugget)

Gallium melts at approximately 85F. A gallium nugget can easily be melted using a hot plate to heat up a water bath. Place nugget into the small beaker and place the beaker into the hot water bath. Depending on the water temperature, the nugget will melt in ~1-2 minutes. Depending on class size the table camera may be useful.

*NOTE* Gallium (in solid or liquid state) is safe to handle but liquid gallium can be messy and will stick to your skin (which can be washed off with soap and water).
