  • A mass bobbing on a spring and a spot on a rotating wheel are both shown to be examples of simple harmonic motion.
  • The RPM of the wheel can be adjusted to match the period of the mass on the spring.
  • A sideways view can be shadow projected onto a screen to make the effect more obvious.
